Stand up and Ride Down the Other Side

Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. What a promise! Can you take that to heart? No one will stand against us. I am a Calvinist and therefore I believe that everything that happens is part of the plan and this passage tells me that whatever happens nothing is going to stand against me. That is not to say it may not be hard or we may not get knocked down but no one will prevail against us, because the God of the Universe is for us. Keep that in mind when “life” gets you down. Have you ever been cycling and when you climb a hill your legs are burning and your panting like a dog lying on the back porch in August. But just as you think your aren’t going to make it you crest then you start down the other side. You don’t even have to peddle and your speeding down the hill wind in your face and you have forgotten about the burn from just a few minutes before. That is how life is with Lord just when you think you can’t make it any farther the Lord comes along and pushes you over the crest and you race through the rest of the week and on into the rest of your life forgetting quickly the battle the you waged just a few days ago.

Fishing Report: Fish 1 Kids 15. What a great afternoon of fishing. My daughter had never fished before and caught 12. Wow what fun!
