Muskie and Darkness or Don't be an Idiot

Fishing Report: Heavy rain today, river is really up. Have a great trip planned North Central Wisconsin for Ruffed Grouse in the morning and Muskie from the Jump River in the afternoon. Going pure fly rods and big flies. I have never done this before but should be a great adventure especially the fact that the grouse populations is at a 25 year peak and the Jump River is rarely fished.

My thoughts for this week are as follows; Flee from evil, the devil is like a lion prowl and seeking to devour you. Nahum 1:7 comes to mind “The hold is a stronghold in the time of trouble and He knows those who love Him.” Not much else to say but to keep Crap (smut, filth, evil, appearance of evil and everything else bad or questionable) out of your house. If you bring it home your kids and wife are exposed to it. Would you bring home a prostitute to baby-sit your boys? Isn’t that what your doing when you bring home a racy movie or a magazine that has pictures that you don’t want your wife to see. What about if you bring home booze? Would you let your kids ride with an alcoholic or let them hang out in a bar unattended? Our society tells us it is OK for us but not for our kids. What message does that send to our kids, “don’t do this until your older or don’t let me catch you doing this”. If you hide your sin your kids hide theirs and then secrets become the norm and hurt and sadness are sure to follow.

The Challenge: Stop now! Give it up booze, porn, drugs, online affair, whatever. Don’t hide it bring it out in the open and let the light in and the darkness will flee.
