Wow is it Cold
Fishing Report: None it is 6pm and 5 degrees. The middle fork is frozen over except for the rifles. I hope that clear creek stays open so the ducks hang around for a few more weeks at least till the end of the season.
I helped a dear friend today, clean up after a fire. Fire is a beast of sorts everything is charred and blackened. Tires melted down to the belts and then other things are unaffected. Trials in life seem to be the same way. You leave blackened, battered, bruised and scarred. The amazing thing is that in a few short weeks the insurance will have the barn rebuilt and have new equipment in it as if it had never been damaged. The new stuff will be better and stronger that that which was consumed in the fire. After a trial we are stronger and better off for being tried. I realize that it is never fun to be tried by fire but it sure is a good feeling knowing that the Lord is removing the old worn ideas and behaviors from our hearts and minds.
I have recently been having some ideas and behaviors removed from my life and it has been an upheaval to say the least. But I can already see that God who is the ultimate insurance is replacing the old with good, new "equipment".
